Privacy policy.

Last updated 26 September 2026

This policy explains what information Abbotswood Homes Ltd (“we”, “us”) collects about you, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to this website and to our dealings with you by email, telephone and post.

1

Information we collect

  • —Information you give us. Your name, email address, telephone number and any details you include when you send an enquiry, register an interest, request a viewing or ask for information — including the nature of your enquiry and your message.
  • —Information from our correspondence. Emails, letters, call notes and meeting records, and any information you provide during a purchase, reservation or investment process, such as identification and financial details needed to complete a transaction.
  • —Land and property information. Where you tell us about a building or site you own or represent, details about that property and your interest in it.
  • —Information from third parties. Occasionally from introducers, agents or advisers, with your knowledge, so that we can respond appropriately.
  • —Basic technical information. Standard server details such as browser type and device, recorded so that the site functions and can be kept secure. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
2

How we use your information

  • —To reply to your enquiry and speak with you about a home, a development or an investment opportunity.
  • —To carry out a purchase, reservation, commission or investment, including the legal and financial checks that form part of it.
  • —To assess a property or site you have put forward, and to keep a brief record of the discussion.
  • —To send you occasional updates about our developments where you have asked for them or agreed to receive them.
  • —To meet our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations, and to handle complaints.
3

Our lawful basis

Under UK data protection law we rely on one or more of the following: performing a contract with you, or taking steps with you before entering into one; our legitimate interests in running a property development business and responding to enquiries, where this is not overridden by your rights; your consent, for example for marketing updates; and compliance with the law, for example tax records.

4

Who we share information with

We share information only where it is necessary, and only with people and organisations that are bound to handle it carefully:

  • — Professional advisers, including solicitors, surveyors and accountants.
  • — Architects, engineers, interior designers and contractors working with us.
  • — Selling agents, conveyancers, lenders and warranty providers involved in a transaction.
  • — Landowners, planning authorities and public bodies where a project requires it.
  • — Our service providers, such as website hosting, email and secure document storage.
  • — HMRC, regulators or courts, where we are required to disclose information.
5

How long we keep information

  • — Enquiries that do not lead to a transaction: up to 12 months, so that we can pick the conversation up again.
  • — Client and transaction records: six years from the end of the relevant year, in line with the limitation period.
  • — Accounting and tax records: seven years.
  • — Marketing consent: until you withdraw it.
6

Where information is held

Your information is normally processed and stored in the United Kingdom. Where a supplier transfers it outside the UK, we require appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

7

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information: access is limited to those who need it, systems and mailboxes are protected with authentication, and sensitive documents are shared through secure services rather than open attachments. No method of transmission is entirely risk-free, but we work to keep your information safe.

8

Cookies and this website

This site is a simple marketing website. It does not place advertising, social media or analytics cookies in your browser, and it does not build a profile of your browsing.

One third-party service is used: web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your IP address is transmitted to Google when a page is viewed. If you prefer to avoid this, you can block Google Fonts in your browser or browse with a content blocker enabled.

9

Your rights

  • — Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • — Have inaccurate information corrected.
  • — Ask us to delete information we no longer need, or where you have withdrawn consent.
  • — Ask us to restrict or pause our use of your information.
  • — Object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and stop marketing messages at any time.
  • — Receive the information you gave us in a usable format, or have it sent to someone else.
10

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please write to us at the address above and we will investigate. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office:
